Jonny studied fine art and graphics at Lincoln College of Art in the early 80s. His love of drawing and painting has taken a back seat during his years as a creative director.
However, during the 2018 ski season he was inspired to pick up the pens, pencils and brushes again. “I felt the need to get back to using traditional skills to create, rather than using a computer mouse”.
His mission: to create a sketch a day in no more than 30 minutes. With two seasons under his skis and around 75 sketches later, he decided to take this a step further and began to introduce watercolour work into his portfolio.
Each piece shown on this site took anywhere from 20 minutes up to 20 hours + to produce. Everything is hand drawn and nothing is electronically edited or manipulated.
Jonny welcomes commissions and you’ll find is often quite choosey about what he will do…after all, his art has to be inspired!
